Hands on the Land

BatsLIVE is a “virtual field trip adventure” targeting grades 4-8 in classroom settings. Programs will focus on the importance of bats to the health of the natural world and the vital role that they play in forests grasslands and cave ecosystems. Programs will also emphasize habitat needs and conservation with a special emphasis on caves and karst resources. BatsLIVE will provide a live webcast on May 17, 2012. Also planned are in-depth web seminars, citizen science activities, lesson plans and connections with bat conservation organizations worldwide.
