2012 Humpback Whale Month Ocean Contest

Participate in the 2012 Humpback Whale Month Ocean Contest by submitting your ocean artwork, poem or short story to the Hawaiian Islands Humpback Whale National Marine Sanctuary and become a member of the Ocean Guardian Kids Club.

The purpose of the Ocean Guardian Kids Club is to encourage you to explore your natural surroundings to form a sense of personal connection to the ocean. The Kids Club offers you an opportunity to express your insights, observations and understanding of your natural environment through the creation of visual art, poetry, and original stories.

All K-8 students in the United States are eligible and encouraged to join!

Entrants will receive an Ocean Guardian Kids Club membership card and in celebration of Humpback Whale Awareness Month, you will also receive an exclusive Humpback Whale Kids Packet. So don’t wait too long! Get creative and submit your work now.

All entries are due by 12:00 noon on March 15, 2012. Please note that entries will not be returned.
