  Description: The Junco can be 5 – 6.5 inches in length with a 9.25 – 10 inches wingspan. They are predominately gray above with a white abdomen and a pink bill. Males are larger and have brighter plumage than females. They may vary their plumage depending their zone.
There are five different subspecies.

  Enemies: Loss of habitat and birds of prey
         
  Range & migration: They are short-distance migrants. They breed from Alaska through Canada, south to Mexico and east to Georgia, winters south to Gulf coast and Northern Mexico .   Reproduction: They have two broods per year, occasionally 3 in South, 1 at High elevation and latitude.They lay 3 – 6 eggs that are incubated by the female for 12 – 13 days. The young leave the nest at 9 – 13 days.
The young are fed by both sexes.
