    Species: Anas crecca
     
    Type: Waterfowl.
         
  Description: This waterfowl is cool. He has alternate colored, plumage, dark bill, rich rust colored head, iridescent green face patch sweeping through eye and tapering to the back, gray and black, vertical white line at fore part of flanks, black central under tail coverts.   Habitat: This waterfowl lives near open water.
         
  Food: It eats grasses, aquatic vegetation, aquatic insects, larvae, mollusks, crustaceans, corn, and rice.   Enemies: Foxes and minks
         
  Range & migration: This bird lives in all over the world where there is water but in the summer many migrate to North America.   Reproduction: The female incubates the eggs for 20-24 days.The male comes back when the little waterfowl are born. The young find their own food and first fly after about 34 days.
