  Description: They are gray above, brick red below the head and tail is black.   Habitat: They are in town gardens, open woodlands, and agricultural land.
         
  Food: Robins eat many kinds of soft food invertebrate earthworms, beetles, and caterpillars. They also like sweet and sour cherries, wine grapes, and tomatoes.   Enemies: The residential cats, people, raccoons, gray and red squirrels chipmunks, hawks, grackles and snakes.
         
  Range & migration: They breed from Alaska east across continent to Newfoundland and south to California and Texas, Arkansas, and South Carolina, and Columbia. They are permanent residents in most of the United States. Some winter in Mexico and summer in Canada and Alaska.   Reproduction: The female builds a cup-shaped nest with twigs, grass and feathers. Sometimes males will help collect materials for the nests. Robin’s lay about 3-4 eggs. They lay their eggs late because they have to eat and have all of the calories. The eggs take 12 to 14 days to hatch after they laid the last eggs. They are incubated by the females. The young stay inthe nest 14-16 days. They have 2-3 broods a year so they male may take care of the first brood while the female incubates the second one.
