Hello! Welcome to my personal page. I am 17 years old and a Senior at Lake Stevens High School, in Washington. I hope that you have enjoyed our web site. I would like to start out by saying Thank You to the WTA for this most awesome experience that I was privileged to be a part of. I feel very lucky to have this opportunity.

My Trip to the Elwha Valley
Before I started my 5 day trip, I went in with an open mind, and ready to learn. Now, I have been camping before, but never backpacking. I had no idea what to expect. This trip was very challenging for me, mentally and physically. This was one of the hardest things I've done in my entire life, and yet I could not imagine anything about the trip that I would change given the opportunity. Even though the trip was hard at times, it wouldn't be the same without the challenges. This trip has changed my perspective on life in many ways and I think it really helped me grow.

My favorite part of this trip was being able to do something out of my "comfort zone". The average teenage girl would not volunteer to spend 5 days out in the woods, with no shower, no toilet, no radio, etc, etc. I still can't believe that I volunteered. In all honesty, I wouldn't take back my decision to go for anything in the world. I feel that the effects of this trip will be with me for the rest of my life. Thank you again for this wonderful opportunity! I feel that I cannot thank you enough!
