Hands on the Land for teachers and students

Membership in the HOL network offers numerous benefits to participating schools. Teachers and students can:

• Access a broad array of teaching resources
• Participate in hands-on experiences and service-learning opportunities on Federal lands.
• Interact with Federal resource professionals
• Develop exchange programs, including data sharing, with other sites and schools through the website
• Receive technical support for database and website creation
• Share experiences with other communities that have similar resources and interests
• Involve parents in learning with their children
• Teachers may also register to receive the quarterly newsletter and post data in our environmental monitoring databases.

If you are an educator and are already involved in a partnership with a public land management agency that meets HOL membership criteria, we encourage you to work with your agency contact(s) to fill out and submit the Membership Application. NOTE: Applications must be received from the agency provider.
