In Big Thicket, East meets West and North meets South, creating an explosion of uncommon vegetative partners. Eastern hardwood forests intermingle with Texas cacti and grasses, and southeastern subtropical plants associate with Upper Mississippi River flora. Make no mistake, this is no ordinary thicket.
