A small population orchid survives threatened
in Diamond Fork's floodplain. Since orchids are pollinated
only in certain ways and only by certain insects, the
habitats of those pollinators must be protected if the
orchid is to survive. Researchers and students study these
pollinators' habits to help strengthen the orchids means
for survival.
