The first thing you will need to know is how to operate your stove before you light it.

Also you will need to make sure that there is enough fuel in the fuel bottles before you go on your trip.

During the summer three people would need to bring one-half liter of fuel per day.

And during the winter three people would need to bring one full liter of fuel per day.

When cooking never lean over the stove, always work from the side. Never put your face directly over the stove.

If a stove goes out for some reason while it's hot, because of wind or rain, wait at least fifteen minutes before lighting again. Priming a stove while it is still hot could cause instant ignition. Stoves give off carbon monoxide, carbon monoxide is a byproduct of the combustion of the stove's fuel.

Last thing, always keep fuel bottles a great distance away from the stove. Why? Because if the fuel bottles are too close to the flames it could cause an explosion.
