There are a few special considerations for people with allergies
and/or religious constraints. If you have a certain allergy
you might want to find foods that don't interfere with your
allergies. Someone who is allergic to a certain food can have
an anaphylactic reaction. Also remember that if you have allergy
medications please fill up on them before you go on your hike.
Certain religions don't like to eat certain kinds of foods.
Some non-Christian religious groups don't like to eat products
from certain hoofed animals. The easiest way to keep food
kosher on your trip is to keep from taking meat products.
Some fish products are okay. If you can't resist the urge
to bring meat, just make sure you don't mix it with dairy.
